ODA New York has revealed new renderings of their minimalist, brutalist Crown Heights hotel which was announced two years ago. Construction is just about to get underway with a completion estimated in mid-2019. Located at 1550 Bedford Avenue, the design by architect Eran Chen will rise 5-stories features concrete arches which pay homage to the Soldier's and Sailor's Arch at Grand Army Plaza. The hotel will also feature an interior entrance zen courtyard with minimalist landscaping and a pond. The hotel will feature 100 hotel rooms which will feature floor-to-ceiling oak. Amenities include a rooftop terrace with a rooftop bar, a ground floor restaurant and a cafe.
“In this project, we incorporated the same values that we believe to be imperative for people to flourish: ample natural light, access to green spaces, and opportunities for connection,” said Chen.
