Linda Macklowe Walks Away From Her 78th-Floor 432 Park Avenue Pad That Has Been The Center of Controversy

December 27, 2017

Last week PROFILEnyc reported that Judge David Cohen had granted a preliminary injunction giving Linda Macklowe 60 days to decide to close or walk from her 432 Park Avenue 78th floor pad in which she held via deposit. The injunction ordered the developers of 432 Park Avenue to withdraw their amended plans which cut the size of her unit if Linda Macklowe decided to move ahead with the purchase, or, should she decide not to purchase the unit, the developers must return her $2.16 million deposit. The deposit has now been returned and Linda Macklowe will be staying at her unit in The Plaza. Linda Macklowe has also dropped her September lawsuit alleging the developers shrinking her unit and trying to force her to close without lowering the price. Both sides continue to hold the judgement as a win as now Macklowe Properties and CIM Group can now market the unit for sale to new buyers.
