GTIS Development have revealed a completed model residence at 101 West 78th Street, offering a peek at what it's like to live inside the striking historic building that has been transformed into elegant contemporary condos. 101 West 78th Street is now 50% sold, including the penthouse, and buyers are moving in. 

Called "a big, bold symphony in reds" by the AIA Guide to New York, the circa-1886 building has one of the most elegant facades on the Upper West Side which been meticulously restored to its original grandeur with interiors to match. "AD 100" designer Stephen Sills, whose own personal estate was called the "the chicest home in America" by Karl Lagerfeld, created 21 sprawling apartments that have grand living rooms, marble kitchens, and separate dining rooms and foyers, and charming details like moldings, solid oak herringbone floors, wallpapered powder rooms, and elegant master bathrooms with milky blue lacquer vanities. The kitchens are Smallbone of Devizes, custom designed by Sills, and feature SubZero and Miele appliances.

The model unit 4A offers 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms spread over 4,820 SF. The residence features an enormous, 37'-long corner living room, a grand dining room and 10.5' ceilings throughout. 101 West 78th Street 4A is listed for $12.45 million with Brown Harris Stevens.
