Extell Development Company, a full-service real estate developer of residential, commercial and hospitality properties, has announced that Sush Torgalkar has been named as the company’s President and CEO. Gary Barnett, owner and founder of Extell, will continue to serve as Charmain and work closely with Torgalkar, whose duties include growing the business and oversee the company’s entire portfolio as well as focus on its continued success and efficiency. Extell Development is one of Manhattan's most active developers and has owned and developed a portfolio in excess of 20 million square feet and 35 developments.
“I met Sush over 13 years ago when we partnered with Westbrook Partners on two Upper East Side projects – 995 Fifth Avenue and The Lucida. He has proven himself to be a leader with strong relationships in the capital markets and a keen understanding of the real estate industry,” said Gary Barnett. “As one of the most active developers in New York City, we are confident he will bring his outstanding experience to Extell.”
Prior to joining Extell, Torgalkar served as COO and Managing Principal of Westbrook Partners, a privately held real estate investment firm. Torgalkar brings approximately 20 years of industry experience to Extell, with proven success and involvement in all aspects of the real estate business.
