277 Fifth, Rafael Viñoly's NoMad Tower Exploring Open Air Loggias Tops Out at 663'

March 8, 2018

Victor Group and Lendlease have announced 277 Fifth, a modern glass tower designed by internationally acclaimed architect Rafael Viñoly, has topped out and stands at its full height of 663'. The tower rises 55-stories and features 130 condominium residences which range in size one- to four-bedroom residences and start at $1.9 million; Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is exclusively leading sales and marketing. Shokai is the preferred equity investor behind the project. Closings are expected to begin later this year.

“The tower’s official topping out is an important milestone for all of the teams that continue to collaborate and bring the bold collective vision for this unique development to life,” said Ran Korolik, executive vice president of Victor Group. “277 Fifth Avenue is a truly special endeavor that we’re proud to deliver in collaboration with Lendlease and Shokai.”

Viñoly’s vision for 277 Fifth Avenue, one of the tallest towers in NoMad, features corner exposures through floor-to-ceiling windows from every residence and a façade composed of high-performance cast panels, custom fabricated in Finland in a bespoke Indigo color. A standout feature of the tower’s design is a quartet of distinguished loggias, sheltered, double-height, open, air spaces for leisure and entertaining.

The interiors at 277 Fifth were designed by Jeffrey Beers, offering wide plank American white oak flooring and custom door hardware throughout. Contemporary, high-performance kitchens with fully-integrated Miele appliances; light stained white oak cabinetry; Calacatta Saccheli polished marble slab countertops, backsplash with integrated cooktop niches and island countertop with waterfall edges; and undermount Blanco stainless steel sinks. Master bathrooms feature Bianco Dolomiti marble tile flooring and San Nicola marble tile walls; custom walnut vanity, Kohler Kathryn sinks, Dornbracht LULU series facets, and a Kaldewei Puro Duo steel enamel bathtub.

Three four-bedroom penthouses are situated on the crown of the tower. Each features 13' ceilings and expansive living, dining, and family rooms with multiple exposures. The first Loggia Residence is listed for $9.2 million.

Amenities are spread over two levels connected by a dramatic, curving staircase with a lobby library, complete with a dramatic, double-height bookcase wall; entertaining suite with separate bar and kitchen pantry; private dining room; kids’ club; games lounge with custom ping pong table; fitness club with separate yoga studio as well as men’s and women’s Spa with steam and sauna; furnished Fifth Avenue terrace, private storage, bike storage, pet priority program, dry cleaning program, vehicle concierge, and full-time doorman.

“Interest has been incredibly strong as 277 Fifth Avenue provides a compelling offering for discerning buyers who appreciate the building’s thoughtful design and central location in NoMad,” said Scott Walsh, project director at Lendlease. “We’re thrilled that residents will be able to move-in within the year and begin to enjoy the one-of-a-kind lifestyle of 277 Fifth Avenue where the energy of downtown fuses with uptown elegance.”
