New Renderings Of The Robert A.M. Stern Architects-Designed Tower At 100 Claremont Avenue In Morningside Heights

New Renderings Revealed Of The Robert A.M. Stern Architects-Designed Tower At 100 Claremont Avenue In Morningside Heights

January 4, 2019

Robert A.M. Stern Architects has released new renderings of the new 42-story tower which is planned to rise in Morningside Heights at the Union Theological Seminary campus at 100 Claremont Avenue. The property is located between West 120th Street and West 122nd Street. The Union Theological Seminary is in negotiations to sell their air rights to Lendlease and L+M Development Partners which would allow them to advance their $125 million rehab initiative of the 119 year old campus. The Union Theological Seminary will buy the floor space they have designated in the building including the offices, classrooms and faculty housing. When complete the mixed use tower will rise 466’ with 350,000 SF of total development featuring market-rate condos and institutional space including offices, faculty housing and classrooms. 250,000 SF will be designated for 175 residential units and 25,000 SF for community space. SLCE Architects is the architect of record. The project is currently under permitting and The Union Theological Seminary plans to begin the renovation in Summer 2019.
