Rockefeller Group has partnered with iconic book retailer Strand Books, a fellow historic New York City institution, at Rose Hill. Rose Hill is the developer’s first residential condominium located at 30 East 29th Street in NoMad. Strand Books was founded in 1927 and is famous for its signature red awning that has been serving book lovers and tourists from around the world for generations located on Broadway and 12th street. Strand Books will curate and stock Rose Hill’s common space book shelves including the residents’ library and lounges.

It brings us immense joy to collaborate with such a notable and distinguished retailer while simultaneously providing an amazing compilation of books for our residents to enjoy.”
Strand Books will fill the shelves of Rose Hill with a mix of new, used and rare books that cover all genres. “The Blue Room” is a private residents’ library on the lobby level of Rose Hill that will house various books. This room has many seating areas and tables for co-working or working-from-home, which has become even more popular in the new pandemic environment. Residents may also borrow books from “The Blue Room” to take outside to the garden courtyard. There is also a secondary library on the 37th floor with even more indoor/outdoor seating.

In this challenging COVID-19 environment Rockefeller Group has committed to supporting local New York businesses. The Rose Hill team has partnered with NoMad’s popular Bourke Street Bakery to redirect event budgets to fund 60 care packages that were dedicated to first responders at Bellevue Hospital. Rockefeller Group’s Rose Hill collaboration with Strand Books is another example of their dedication to help and support local businesses in New York City.
