Tishman Speyer owns the two new locations of dining concept space. The Smile Has Opened Leasing In Harlem With New Images Revealed Of The Rental Development

The Smile by BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group has opened leasing and released new photography of model residences and amenities. The BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group, founded in Copenhagen, has embraced their Danish architecture background and designed The Smile with a contemporary and lively minimalistic aesthetic. The building is nearing complete with a name that comes from the curve shaped façade that resembles a smile and blends in with the vibrant Harlem neighborhood.

The rental development features studios, one and two-bedroom apartments with floor-to-ceiling windows and in unit washer and dryer. The lobby is full of life decorated with Harlem-inspired colorful murals. Amenity spaces include a fitness center, spa and work-from-home space. The Smile Rooftop Club features a swimming pool, whirlpools, BBQ station and open air movie theatre. Pricing starts at $2,056 per month for an apartment. The Smile is located in the heart of Harlem’s vibrant and cultural neighborhood with many popular restaurants and bars within walking distance. 

The Smile is located at 158 East 126th Street and developed by Blumenfeld Development Group. The exclusive leasing and marketing agent is Brown Harris Stevens Development Marketing.

Columbia University to Open New Lenfest Center for the Arts Designed by Renzo Piano on April 22

Columbia University will open its new Lenfest Center for the Arts, which was designed by Renzo Piano, on April 22. The Lenfest Center for the Arts is the school's first dedicated facility for its School of Arts to host performances and events. It is located on Columbia University's Manhattanville Campus and is adjacent to the new Jerome L. Green Science Center. The Lenfest Center for the Arts is 60,000 SF and also features the Miriam and Ira D Wallach Art Gallery. Renzo Piano's architecture firm collaborated with Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill on the master plan for the Columbia's Manhattanville Campus and he has designed many of the buildings including the University Forum and Academic Conference Center.
